By next week, Black History Month will be history so I felt I should try to get in one more Black History Month post. I started off the month with a serious Black History Month post about writer Margaret Walker. My second Black History Month post was a playful post about how black music (particularly music from the A) has inspired all – even a 16 year old in the UK. And today’s post is about the funny! I laughed out loud when I saw this video on The Root. Elite Delta Force 3, an all-black female comedy ensemble, teamed up with comedian and singer Wayne Brady to spoof The Real Housewives of Atlanta with their The Real Housewives of Civil Rights. The spoof includes Coretta Scott King, Betty Shabazz, Winnie Mandela, Rosa Parks, Maya Angelou and Marilyn Monroe, who is the Kim Zolciak of the bunch! Maya Angelou is Kandi Burruss in the spoof and writes a song, “Don’t Be Tardy for the Rally” for Marilyn Monroe. Hilarious!!! Check it out and let me know what you think…
