Famed ’90s R&B Star Montell Jordan Launches THIS IS HOW WE DATE NIGHT With Special Guest DJ Tony Tone…

Hello World,

Grammy Award-Winning and ’90s R&B icon Montell Jordan launches THIS IS HOW WE DATE NIGHT with special guest DJ Tony Tone.   This is the ultimate ’90s themed dance party for couples on April 12 in Atlanta, Georgia at Ponce City Market’s Rooftop Terrace.  Montell and his wife, Kristin have focused their ministry on marital counseling and coaching. Together, Montell and Kristin Jordan began both their marriage and music career journeys over 20 years ago. They entered the recording industry as artist and manager with the #1 hit song This Is How We Do It less than one year after saying “I do.” The challenges of being married in the music business resulted in an unpredictable story where after two decades of world tours and millions of album sales, they chose marriage over music, faith over fame, and significance over success. Ultimately, they allowed God to reinvent their lives to focus on their family values, their passion to see the covenant of marriage reestablished, and to restore hope in the hearts of men and women everywhere.

In a society where divorce has become commonplace and the very institution and definition of marriage is under attack, they have navigated some of the roughest waters and returned to help others in their marital journey.  Their marriage has endured and overcome some of the greatest trials imaginable, however, they now are able to serve as ambassadors of hope.  Recently, Montell and Kristin have co-authored their first book This Is How We Do It! Making Your Marriage A Masterpiece. They now travel the world with a goal of spreading that hope and love to help others.  A reconciled husband and wife make a stronger marriage; a stronger marriage makes a better family; stronger families make better churches; stronger churches make better communities and stronger communities make a better world.  With that said, the Jordan’s are bringing their world culture back to their backyard in launching THIS IS HOW WE DATE NIGHT.

The event will start for VIP early entry at 6pm and 7pm for general admission.  For more information, please go to ThisIsHowWeDateNight.EventBrite.com.

“Music has a powerful way of bringing people together, and ‘ This Is How We Date Night’ is all about creating unforgettable moments withloved ones,” says Montell.

Montell Jordan Officiates, Tasha Cobbs Leonard Sings at the Wedding of Slutty Vegan’s Pinky Cole & Big Dave’s Derrick Hayes…

Wedding Dress Giveaway...

Hello World,

As a pastor’s daughter, I’ve been to many, many weddings over the years, and I still cannot get enough of them.  One of the most inspirational moments in life is when two people commit their lives to one another. No one can ever predict what will happen during the journey of life, but it’s comforting to know that whatever happens, there is someone by your side to help you live through all of your best and worst and everything-in-between moments…

I was especially encouraged by what my sorority sister and fellow Jamerican Slutty Vegan founder Pinky Cole told PEOPLE magazine about her wedding. She married the father of her children Big Dave’s Cheesesteaks CEO Derrick Hayes over the weekend here in Atlanta!

“It’s a fairytale, a Cinderella wedding,” Cole tells PEOPLE exclusively. “Just the other day, my mother saw me in my dress for the first time, and I never thought I would see myself in a wedding dress. It’s a dream come true because I’m doing something that no one in my family has ever done. To be the first to have a wedding is a big deal. I’m breaking generational patterns and creating a new one.”

As you can see above and on PEOPLE magazine’s website, Montell Jordan, an R&B legend turned  Victory World Church minister, was the officiant.  Actually, Montell and his wife Kristin are pre-marital and marriage counselors. As a surprise,  Montell performed “This Is How We Do It.” Additionally, gospel star Tasha Cobbs Leonard sang a beautiful rendition of country music star’s  Shania Twain’s hit “Still the One” as Pinky walked down the aisle.

My favorite moment was when her mother and godmother added some Caribbean spice to the wedding with a freestyle performance. For whatever reason, I’m unable to share all of the videos, so you have to go to Pinky’s IG page to see all of the fab videos!!!

Kirk Franklin, Montell Jordan & Their Wives Congratulate Isaac Carree on His New Single ‘HER!”

Hello World,

Stellar, Dove & BMI Awarding-Winning Producer & Recording Artist Isaac Caree is back with his highly anticipated recording, No Risk… No Reward, coming out this Fall on Shanachie. It’s his first new recording in six years. The Atlanta-based artist was busy during this time touring with Diddy, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill and releasing his first book.   The new CD is produced by Dove Award-winner and two-time Grammy Award-winning producer Blac Elvis, who has produced hits for everyone from Beyoncé (“Ego”) to Fergie (“Glamorous”) Ciara (“Promise”), Usher (“Lil’ Freak) and Smokie Norful (“Nothing Is Impossible”).

Taking risks is something the Atlanta- based Renaissance man is well acquainted with. His motto is “Why not?!” He explains, “I’m intentional about everything I do. Sometimes I do things even if I am afraid, but I do it! WHY NOT?!” It is this spirit that led the singer to step away from the recording scene to allow himself the opportunity to explore various creative avenues. “Allowing myself this time afforded me the opportunity to shift the trajectory of my mind and to reset to prepare for this moment now!,” shares Carree. “I had the life changing experience of touring with Diddy and the Bad Boy Reunion Tour . I also toured with Tim McGraw and Faith Hill on the Soul II Soul World Tour and had the time of my life. After being away from the industry and not having new music out for six years, it feels really good to be back and to partner with Shanachie who believes in my vision.” Carree also penned his first book “Service: My Words. My Life. My Truth” and launched his own music conference, The Plug, in Atlanta.

No Risk…No Reward features the album’s first single “HER.” This stunning ballad is a powerful anthem from men to their woman. It is Isaac Carree’s tribute to his wife Dietra. “I love my wife,” says Carree. “She deserves NOTHING but the best! We’ve grown together, we’ve had our ups and our downs but she stuck with me by my side. She’s loyal, she’s a prayer warrior, she’s the mother of our child, so this song embodies how GRATEFUL to God I am for HER!”

No Risk…No Reward follows 2013’s “Reset,” which debuted on the Billboard Gospel Chart at #1 and featured the hit singles “Clean This House” and “But God.” The album earned four BMI Awards and two Dove nominations. 2011’s Uncommon Me , Carree’s debut solo album, also debuted at #1 and garnered him the prestigious Stellar Award for Producer of the Year , along with four more nominations, including Contemporary Male Vocalist of the Year and New Artist of the Year. The single “In the Middle” hit #1 on Billboard’s Gospel chart and won ASCAP’s award of Song Of The Year in 2012.

“HER” (Click on the link for a snippet of the song.) is available on all digital outlets!
