Season 4 of OWN’s ‘Greenleaf’ Returns Tuesday, September 3!

Hello World,

Y’all, our favorite megachurch drama OWN’s “Greenleaf” is coming back on Tuesday, Sept. 3 at 10 p.m. EST to kick off Season 4! That’s right, Saints! No more rushing home from Bible Study to tune into the Bishop & Lady Mae show on a Wednesday!

“Season Four finds the Greenleafs attempting to maintain a united front in the face of losing Calvary to Bob Whitmore (Beau Bridges) and Harmony & Hope Ministries, but secrets past and present create what could be fatal fractures in the family’s fragile foundation. Lady Mae (Lynn Whitfield) and Grace (Merle Dandridge) form an uneasy alliance as they endeavor to reclaim their church from Harmony & Hope — Grace from within the church where she’s operating as interim head pastor and Lady Mae using her persuasive ways from the outside. But Grace’s mission becomes complicated when a mysterious phone call sets in motion a chain of events that threatens to reveal her biggest secret yet. The Bishop (Keith David) continues working to mend his rift with his wife Lady Mae, while day by day Harmony & Hope’s grip on Calvary tightens.”

Below is the trailer:

There was a LOT in that trailer, right?! I won’t break everything down until Season 4 kicks off but it looks like we will finally find out what happened with Grace in Phoenix, Noah Kendall, Grace’s first love from Season 1 is coming back and Charity may be sleeping with the enemy aka the fine black guy from Harmony & Hope Ministries!

The hit megachurch drama series “Greenleaf” is produced for OWN by Lionsgate in association with Harpo Films and Pine City.  Executive producers are Oprah Winfrey, Craig Wright, Clement Virgo, and Kriss Turner Towner.

GRAMMY Award-Winning Worship Artist Tasha Cobbs Leonard to Launch Brunch Event Featuring Yolanda Adams, ‘Greenleaf’s’ Deborah Joy Winans & More…

Hello World,

GRAMMY Award-winning worship artist Tasha Cobbs Leonard is set to launch CANDID, a series of empowering and ground-breaking events for women. Taking the ‘girls brunch’ concept to a new level, Cobbs Leonard will host the first CANDID, an exciting brunch event on Saturday, June 15, 2019, in Atlanta, GA!

Cobbs Leonard aims to offer an inviting, and open forum to inspire and encourage women to understand their potential, and live their best lives! Whether it’s launching a new business, or pursuing a passion, Cobbs Leonard wants women to tap into the possibilities, and understand that now is their time to reach for their dream. The CANDID brunch series brings together the best from entrepreneurs and creatives to philanthropists and influencers to share their stories and strategies in an intimate and fun setting.

“I wanted to take the true meaning of the African proverb ‘it takes a village to raise a child’ and support the ‘village’ in that statement — women represent the village in our communities,” Cobbs Leonard said. “We [women] support our husband, raise our children, create our own business, mentor future generations – that often times we miss the opportunity to inspire ourselves and show up for US. I wanted to create a safe space where we can do just that.”

Like every good brunch, there will be good food, great conversation and lots of laughs. Tasha invited her personal village of amazing women to join her at the inaugural CANDID brunch. The incredible line up of speakers includes legendary GRAMMY Award-winner Yolanda Adams; social influencer, TV Star Marlo Hampton (Who knew that Marlo Hampton and Tasha Cobbs Leonard are friends?); Gospel music icon and favorite Kierra Sheard; actress Deborah Joy Winans from OWN’s “Greenleaf” and social media CEO Ivy McGregor.

Tickets are available now by visiting: https://ticketlocity.com/event/view/CANDID.

OWN’s ‘Greenleaf’ Season 4 Has Started Filming and You Could Be a Part of It!

Hello World,

I’m not sure exactly where they are filming in the A in Season 4 except for this location thanks to this AJC article by Rose Kennedy:

House of Hope Atlanta

4650 Flat Shoals Pkwy, Decatur

This huge, beautiful church has featured in all three seasons as lead character Bishop James Greenleaf’s home church, Calvary Fellowship. Organized more than 138 years ago as a Sunday School and prayer meeting group, it now ministers to five generations under the leadership of senior pastor/teacher Dr. E. Dewey Smith, Jr.

Some of the locations from Season 3 include:

Eagle Rock Studios

6205 Best Friend Road, Norcross

All three seasons of Greenleaf have been filmed at Eagle Rock, according to location manager Patrick Rofoli.

“We have a portion of the Greenleaf Mansion built on stage, along with the offices and hallways of the churches, including an amazing coffee shop that we added this season to the church set.”

The parsonage and various swing sets are all also shot on various Eagle Rock stages. “Both Norcross and Gwinnett County are film-ready communities with great support from the citizens and the government,” Rofoli added.

Wages & Sons Funeral Home

1031 Lawrenceville Highway, Lawrenceville

Season 3 of Greenleaf involved the fictional Thompson Casket & Funeral Service, filmed at the family-owned Wages & Sons Funeral Home, which has served metro Atlanta’s funeral and crematory needs for more than 50 years.

And if you’re in the metro Atlanta area (or if you’re willing to fly in I guess) and have a baby, you can be on set THIS week!
